A day in San Diego

San Diego is such a beautiful city. I had only been once since I moved to California. I went back this week end with two of my favorite people. We started by Old Town San Diego, followed by Coronado bridge, Coronado beach and finished the day at La Jolla Cove. It was a full day, but nothing short of amazing. The only regret I have is not taking more pictures.

Old Town San Diego was fun and authentic. There was lots of shops and lots of food. We stopped for a burger at Living Room and while the food wasn’t the best, it wasn’t the worst either. The place was cute and the waiter really nice. If you like old western movies Old Town San Diego is definitely a place worth checking out.

The Coronado bay bridge, which links Coronado to San Diego was pretty cool. It’s a quick ride but the view makes up for it. It’s free fun, really! Then, you can head to Coronado beach and relax for the rest of the day. Or you can do like me and head to La Jolla.

If your dream is to see sea lions yawing on the beach, La Jolla Cove is the place to be. I’ve been there before and I loved it even more the second time. We got to try vegan ice cream at Bobboi Natural Gelato and it was DELICIOUS. So delicious that it’ll make you question why you never tried it before. I tried the lemon+mint flavor and the dark chocolate. Unusual combination, yes, but seriously good. The lemon/mint sorbet was perfect for the warm weather and the dark chocolate was able to satisfy my sweet tooth.
